Free Album: Frank Ocean – Nostalgia/Ultra
Altough he has been signed to Island Def Jam for more than a year, singer/songwriter Frank Ocean decided to give away his first album for free on the web after the label totally ignored him. Showing once again just how fucked up & clueless these major labels are. I had never heard of him before the last week but ever since his Odd Future crew graced the cover of Billboard Magazine in early march and everybody and their momma started to jump on the bandwagon I had to check them out. I first listened to group leader Tyler’s Yonkers track which i found interesting to say the least but it’s Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia/Ultra that had me hooked on after the first listen. It has since become my new (audio) drug of choice. As a songwriter Frank has already worked with Justin Bieber, John Legend & Brandy and was in the studio with Beyoncé just last week for her new album. His album is a dope mixture of great melodies, good lyrics, great concepts & hypnotic beats with a retro feel to it. Anyway let me stop talking about it so you can start listening.

Cela fait quelques années que le producteur nyonnais Riga se fait un nom sur la scène musicale suisse et internationale (ayant produit des artistes tels que Serani, T.O.K, Daddy Mory, Ol Kainry, Tairo, etc.) Cette année, en collaboration avec le label zurichois Gideon Productions, il sort le nouvel album attendu de Cali P: “UNSTOPPABLE”.

One of the good things about being a Hot Sunday Nights resident at the Mondial in Holland is that you get to play alongside some very talented djs. The latest one to join the team is Lady S, a young female dj from Belgium. At only 24 she is already kicking major ass on the 1s & 2s from Dubai to Miami and everywhere in between. Swiss reggae supastar Cali P is gearing up for the release of his new album Unstoppable with appearances by Stress & Phenomdem. The project is produced by Riga and should be out in november.
